Technology being an addiction have been previously discussed between the group and it came to the topic again when it came to the discussion of what to exhibit to represent what our movement is about. Amongst other ideas such as displaying a mirror to simply show the reality vs filters, the idea of having some pill bottles and syringes in display came quite frequent.

With this idea I wanted to show that technology is an addiction and we feed off from it. To me technology is a form of drugs - once you started indulging in it, you can't stop. With the idea of using the Facebook like buttons as the pills, I wanted to represent that we all feel the need of these likes to feel happier.
This links back to one of our movement's core values: to breaking the addiction to technology. The use of this visual representation using the pills is to make and impact on others as they realise that technology is an addiction.
Display of the pills is one of the final ideas we will be going through for the exhibition. Now it's time for experimenting with the visuals, to see whether it is clear what we are trying to convey as a message. I feel this could be one of the strongest link to the core values and could lead to a big impact against technology lovers.
