Task: Empty all the newspaper stands.

Thinking big into practice: using newspapers, Lots of Newspapers.
This day was fun, frustrating at first but fun. Our group changed our ideas a lot as we didn't really come into a decision as to what our symbol was which communicated the theme of editing.
I was stressed, cause that's just what I always do.
First we were thinking of creating the highlight symbol and started creating it with only newspapers and tape. It's a simple task which enabled more space for thinking on the symbol that will clearly direct to the theme. Some questions were arising
Will people know what this symbol is ? Does everyone know the highlight symbol? Will they know what this symbol indicate to ? --- No.
Therefore we changed the design again, with half of the time left for this task, we decided to make a selecting finger instead. The idea of selecting better outcome and discarding the rest came to mind when it came to choosing this symbol. It was a better idea to work with and start developing from it.
In other news .. haha get it news... *PUNS*
I just loved the atmosphere during making this sculpture. The place we took over was this beautiful antique room now covered with newspapers, tape. It was a great contrast.

One of the pieces from other group that I really enjoyed is this piece. The theme they have is ''Read the Brief"- which ironically my group failed to do at the beginning of the project.
This piece is simple but effective because of the use of repetition. It represented the importance. For me it's somewhat interactive as it forces your eyes to read all 4 words - because of the fact they are in huge scale.
It was typographically beautiful.
Although I personally wasn't too happy with the piece we created, it gave us a more solid start for the theme and gave us a more of an understanding of the roles of a logo implies: interactive, clear and be direct.
So yeah, here's our final piece and next to it, a picture of Nigel looking so proud of the mess we made:
