''Make us excited''

The first project involved creating something to make the class excited about the street given.
Of course that means actually go and visit the street we were given, so we did exactly that. We learnt there's way too much content that we could include.
Lupus street includes pretty much everything that someone could build their life on , if they were to live on the street for the rest of their lives. There were primary school, secondary school, church, local grocery stores, pubs, library and cafes. So there were lots of things we could cover on.
But!
How can we make it exciting?
We touched the subjects on what makes us excited and how. There were ideas such as creating a poster to making a video tour acting as a guide to Lupus street.
All agreed video was the way to go. Since there are so many things to cover, might as well do a little tour.
The intention was to sell the street to the class.
The street had Domino's pizza , that is definitely something that would make someone go there and experience. As it was our first few days at university, no one knows where everything is. So having a street that has so many benefits that we can all take advantage of, really gave us a clear intention to imply.
The street sells itself when it has Domino's Pizza.
Here is the video that we presented:
The reactions we received whilst playing the video synced with the intentions we supplied. Favourite part of the video was when we provided the number of Domino's pizza in a style of advertising the place- got a good number of laughs which indicated, we got to communicate what we wanted and it clearly had the right effects on people.
As in terms of group work, we did pretty well for the first project. We were lucky enough to have at least one person (Priscilia) knowing how to edit videos. Meeting up was complicated but all was solved all thanks to good old Facebook. (sponsor us).
The benefits we got from this project is to actually get to know the places surrounding our university. As for a student who commutes from home, I know I wouldn't be visiting surrounding places too often as all I would want to do after I finish my class is run to start my 1 and half hour journey home. The reason is pretty self- explanatory. So yeah, it was a good way of introducing the place, people and the course.
Someone should've really sponsor us.
